August 4th, 1988. Charlotte, a little girl of 7 years old got a very special birthday present, a baby girl named Maartje. Two sisters, born on the same date in August, but with an age difference of 7 years. A unique bound was formed immediately. After Charlotte got her degree in hotel management and Maartje in business administration and psychology they decided to work together. They share a passion for fashion but there was always that one special dream; starting their own perfume brand. And so they did, it is called the *4th of August* and shares the same birthday as the two girls.

With this scent we try to maintain the feeling of our favorite holiday atmosphere… The signature ingredient consists of figue fragrance.
